Home Recording

Home recording is a great way to record your stuff with out the hassles of finding a studio, getting there and working endless hours trying to get your music recorded within the already paid for time alotted. The equipment and software that's available is endless, and if you have a pretty good P.C set-up, you can record studio quality music in your bed room! I've put together a pretty basic home recording set-up but it's all I need to get my music sounding the way I want it to.
My Gear I love playing around with my software and digital gear at home. It does take a while to program a few bars of music as opposed to "Guys, a blues riff in 'E'! 1,2,3,4"........ and off we go for the next 20 minutes or so jamming. But this way, I get to create what I want. I'm no expert on this subject but I can at least go through a few things for you to get you on the right track. Let's start with the equipment I have. A lot of it was bought for me by 'husband claus' so my christmas days were very exciting! Here we go, don't blink or you'll miss it! Eventually I'll be putting some of my own music on this web site so make sure you come back, have a listen and tell me what you think. If you're wanting to buy some home recording equipment, and if you plan to do it over the internet, make sure you do a product review first and find out if it's what you were after, and if there have been any problems with it. Do your home work. Make sure you're putting your hard earned dollars towards something you are going to use and can be of value to your music. Home recording is the ideal way for musicians to get their music 'out there' quicker and it is definitely cheaper than the old days of hiring a recording studio, spending 46 of the 48 hours of your weekend locked away, paying for some audio tech to record and mix it down then try and get up for work on the Monday morning? No............ home recording is the way to go!
